A quick and visually stunning patriotic charcuterie board featuring fresh berries and a variety of cheeses, perfect for summer gatherings and easy to assemble in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries (optional)
  • Brie cheese, soft and creamy
  • Sharp cheddar cheese, sliced or cubed
  • Goat cheese, crumbled (optional)
  • Water crackers or multigrain crackers
  • Baguette slices, lightly toasted
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Honey or fruit preserves (optional)
  • Almonds or walnuts, toasted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash all fresh berries gently and pat dry with paper towels. Hull and halve the strawberries. Slice cheddar cheese into bite-sized pieces and cut the brie into wedges. Toast baguette slices lightly if using.
  2. Place your serving board on a flat surface. Arrange small bowls or ramekins on the board to hold nuts, honey, or preserves to contain sticky or oily items.
  3. Position the cheeses spaced out on the board. Place the brie and cheddar first, allowing space between them for berries and crackers. If using goat cheese, crumble it near the brie for easy pairing.
  4. Fan out crackers and baguette slices around the cheeses. Layer them so guests can easily grab without disturbing the rest of the display.
  5. Fill in the gaps between cheese and crackers with clusters of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Keep the red, white, and blue colors distinct but balanced across the board for a patriotic feel.
  6. Scatter fresh mint leaves lightly over the berries and cheese. Drizzle honey or place it in a ramekin for dipping. Sprinkle toasted nuts around or keep them in a bowl.
  7. Serve promptly. If prepping early, cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate, but avoid adding berries too early as they may release moisture.

Notes

Wash berries right before assembling and dry thoroughly to avoid mushiness. Chill brie briefly if too soft to slice neatly. Arrange berries in small clusters for a tidy, visually appealing board. If prepping early, add berries last and keep covered in the fridge.
