A simple, romantic charcuterie board for two that comes together in under 15 minutes. Featuring a balanced mix of cheeses, meats, fruits, and crunchy accompaniments, it’s perfect for a stress-free date night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz aged cheddar, sliced
  • 4 oz soft brie, at room temperature
  • 2 oz blue cheese, crumbled or in a small wedge
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 3 oz salami, sliced thin
  • 2 oz capicola (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mixed olives (Castelvetrano and Kalamata)
  • 1/4 cup cornichons or small pickles
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup fig jam or apricot preserves
  • 1/4 cup roasted almonds (salted or smoked)
  • 1/4 cup dried apricots or figs
  • 1 small apple, sliced thin
  • 1 small pear, sliced thin
  • 1 cup assorted crackers (water crackers and rosemary flatbread crisps)
  • 1 small baguette, sliced and lightly toasted

Instructions

  1. Take your cheeses out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving.
  2. Place your small bowls on the board first. Fill one with olives, one with fig jam or apricot preserves, and one with honey.
  3. Add the cheeses next. Place the brie whole on the board. Slice the cheddar into thin triangles and fan them out. Crumble the blue cheese into a small pile or leave it as a wedge. Space them around the board so there’s a cheese in every quadrant.
  4. Layer in the meats. Fold the prosciutto into loose ribbons. Roll the salami slices into little cylinders or fold them into quarters. Place them near the cheeses they pair best with.
  5. Add the fruit and pickles. Fan out the apple and pear slices near the brie. Place the cornichons and dried fruit in small clusters around the board.
  6. Fill the gaps with nuts and crackers. Sprinkle almonds in the empty spaces. Arrange crackers in small stacks around the board, but don’t cover everything.
  7. Drizzle and garnish. Warm the honey slightly (10 seconds in the microwave) and drizzle it over the brie or in a small swoosh on the board. Add a few fresh herbs like rosemary sprigs or thyme for color.
  8. Final check. Step back and look at your board. Does it feel balanced? Add a few more crackers or nuts to fill any obvious gaps.

Notes

Take cheeses out of fridge 30 minutes before serving. Keep crackers separate until serving to prevent sogginess. Toss apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning. The board is flexible—swap ingredients based on availability or preference.
