A quick and wholesome snack recipe featuring layered turkey, cheddar cheese, whole grain crackers, and fresh veggies, perfect for school lunches or light snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 ounces sliced turkey breast
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced thin
  • 1 cup whole grain crackers
  • 1/2 cup baby carrots or cucumber slices
  • 2 tablespoons hummus or your favorite dip (optional)
  • Small reusable containers or compartmentalized lunch boxes
  • Paper napkins or small cheese picks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by clearing your counter and gathering all ingredients and equipment (5 minutes).
  2. Slice the turkey breast into smaller, snack-friendly pieces and slice the cheddar cheese into thin rectangles or squares that match your cracker size (5 minutes).
  3. Arrange whole grain crackers in one compartment or section of your container, about 10-12 crackers per serving (2 minutes).
  4. Layer turkey and cheese slices in neat stacks, alternating 3-4 layers per stack. Use cheese picks to hold stacks together if desired (5 minutes).
  5. Add baby carrots or cucumber slices in another compartment along with a small container of hummus or your favorite dip (3 minutes).
  6. Close the container securely and refrigerate if not eating immediately (2 minutes).

Notes

Pack crackers separately to prevent sogginess and add just before eating. Use parchment paper between turkey layers to avoid sticking. Refrigerate until ready to eat. Thin, even slices of turkey and cheese make stacking easier and the snack more enjoyable.
