A simple and forgiving grilled peaches recipe perfect for beginners, delivering a sweet, smoky, and juicy summer treat that’s quick and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe but firm peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or neutral oil
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • A pinch of cinnamon or smoked paprika (optional)
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves for garnish (optional)
  • A small pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high, around 375°F (190°C), which takes about 10 minutes.
  2. Rinse peaches under cold water and dry gently. Halve and pit each peach; quarter if extra large.
  3. Brush the cut side of each peach half lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking and encourage caramelization.
  4. Place peaches cut side down on the grill. Cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until grill marks appear and peaches soften slightly.
  5. Flip peaches carefully with tongs and grill skin side for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Check for tenderness; if too firm, grill an extra minute per side but avoid mushiness.
  7. Transfer peaches to a platter, sprinkle with sea salt and optionally dust with cinnamon or smoked paprika.
  8. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired and garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves.
  9. Serve immediately warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Use medium-high heat to avoid burning. Oil peaches and grill grates to prevent sticking. Be gentle when flipping to keep peaches intact. Frozen peaches can be used if thawed and patted dry. For flare-ups, keep a spray bottle of water handy. Grilled peaches can be served with ice cream, yogurt, or cheese for variation.
