Crispy, creamy, and spicy buffalo chicken dip wrapped in golden wonton shells, ready in just 15 minutes. Perfect for game day, parties, or a quick weeknight appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (about 12 ounces) wonton wrappers
  • 1 ½ cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot Original)
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely sliced
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, shredded cheddar, ranch dressing mix, and sliced green onions. Mix until well combined and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
  2. Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean cutting board or work surface. Keep remaining wrappers covered with a damp paper towel to prevent drying. Place a small bowl of water nearby.
  3. Spoon about 1 heaping teaspoon of the filling into the center of the wonton wrapper. Do not overfill.
  4. Dip your finger in water and wet all four edges of the wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, pressing out any air bubbles as you seal. Pinch edges firmly to seal. Optionally, crimp edges with a fork.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Place wontons in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they are not touching. Lightly spray tops with olive oil.
  7. Air fry at 375°F for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through with tongs, until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  8. Remove wontons from air fryer and let cool on a wire rack or plate for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with extra sliced green onions and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Notes

Keep wonton wrappers covered with a damp paper towel while assembling to prevent drying. Do not overfill to avoid bursting. For best results, flip wontons halfway through cooking. If you don’t have an air fryer, bake at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
