A creamy, sweet dessert dip that comes together in under 15 minutes with simple pantry ingredients. Perfect for holiday gatherings, this festive dip is served with crunchy sprinkle cookies and disappears in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Green food coloring (gel preferred)
  • 1/4 cup Christmas sprinkles
  • 1 bag sprinkle cookies (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: crushed candy canes or mini marshmallows for topping

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese and butter by taking them out of the fridge about an hour before starting.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth and fluffy. Scrape down the sides halfway through.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, about 1/4 cup at a time, beating on low speed to avoid a sugar cloud. Once incorporated, increase to medium speed and beat for another minute until smooth.
  4. Mix in the vanilla and almond extracts until combined.
  5. Melt the white chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring well after each, until smooth (about 60-90 seconds total).
  6. Pour the melted white chocolate into the cream cheese mixture and beat on low speed until fully incorporated. Scrape down the sides and beat for another 30 seconds.
  7. Add the milk and beat until combined. Then add green food coloring a few drops at a time, mixing until desired shade is reached.
  8. Gently fold in the Christmas sprinkles with a spatula until evenly distributed.
  9. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  10. While the dip chills, arrange the sprinkle cookies on a platter or around the dip bowl.
  11. When ready to serve, remove the dip from the fridge. Top with extra sprinkles and crushed candy canes if desired. Serve with the sprinkle cookies for dipping.

Notes

Cream cheese and butter must be properly softened to avoid lumps. White chocolate burns easily—microwave in short bursts and stir often. Chilling is essential for proper consistency; the dip will firm up and flavors will meld. For best results, make a day ahead. Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Do not freeze.
