A quick and easy deviled eggs recipe featuring a crunchy everything bagel seasoning and smoky bacon crumble topping, perfect for brunch or parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs, hard-boiled
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning (reserve 1 tablespoon for garnish)
  • 4 slices smoked bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: finely chopped fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place 12 large eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by about an inch. Bring water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let sit for 12 minutes for perfectly firm yolks.
  3. Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes to stop cooking. Gently peel shells off under running water.
  4. While eggs cool, cook bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crisp (about 6-8 minutes). Drain on paper towels, then crumble into small pieces.
  5. Slice eggs lengthwise and carefully remove yolks into a medium bowl. Arrange whites on a serving plate or tray.
  6. Mash yolks with a fork, then add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  7. Mix 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning into the yolk filling.
  8. Fill each egg white half generously with the yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  9. Sprinkle crumbled smoked bacon and the reserved everything bagel seasoning evenly over the filled eggs.
  10. Optionally, garnish with finely chopped fresh chives.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving to let flavors meld and filling firm up slightly.

Notes

Use older eggs for easier peeling. Peel eggs under running cold water. Add reserved everything bagel seasoning on top just before serving to keep it crispy. Bacon can be substituted with turkey bacon or smoked tempeh for dietary preferences. Avoid baking the filled eggs to maintain creamy texture. Chill eggs for at least 15 minutes before serving.
