A quick and easy recipe for crispy boneless pork chops cooked in an air fryer, topped with a sweet and tangy apple cider glaze that takes just five minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick (center-cut preferred)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil spray
  • 1/2 cup apple cider (preferably organic or unfiltered)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it warm up for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Stir well.
  3. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Lightly spray the pork chops with olive oil spray on both sides. Press each chop into the breadcrumb mixture, coating thoroughly.
  5. Place the coated pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through (6-7 minutes per side), until crust is golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. While the chops cook, whisk together apple cider, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and fresh thyme leaves in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  8. Bring the glaze mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  9. Transfer cooked pork chops to a serving plate and brush generously with the warm apple cider glaze.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

If the crust browns too fast, lower air fryer temperature to 375°F and add a minute or two to cooking time. Flip gently only once to keep crust intact. For gluten-free, substitute panko with crushed gluten-free crackers or almond flour. Maple syrup can replace honey for a vegan-friendly glaze. Bone-in pork chops require 2-3 extra minutes cooking time.
